Week 12 2024-2025 in Review

Dear TCC Families,

We were a small group this week. Such weeks are always strange and somewhat sad as we’re left to miss each other, and, we also cherish the opportunities for nurturing different or deeper connections in a new group configuration. In our smaller group, we did quite a lot! We bonded, we played, we drew, we reflected on our time off, we built circuits, we made frozen treats for our chickens, we sledded (oh boy did we sled), we navigated conflict, and this was all the shadow schedule!

For offerings, we had Current Events and Histories of Resistance, during which we discussed the recent step forward for the Osage Nation in their effort to rematriate the Sugarloaf Mound, as well as quirks and trends we noticed in the reporting of the story. In TCC Awesome Math we explored how many jars it would take to jar a crock of kimchi based on different number sets, and later that same day we sat down with C for his video essay offering, “Fear of Cold.” We finished off the week with Singing and Dance class, offered by E and A.

This week was lovely and full, and, we are so eager and hopeful to welcome back everyone we missed soon.

With gratitude and care,

Emily, Sarah, and Zoey
